Walk-in rental shops commonly hold something against damage or disappearance: cash, a document, sometimes the passport itself. It is their only leverage over a customer they met two minutes ago.

Vroomad removes the need for that leverage instead of asking you to trust a bigger brand with the same hostage. The rental is fully paid before a partner accepts, the handover and return are photographed by both sides, and an operator with the complete booking record owns any dispute — so nothing of yours needs to be held.

Vroomad calculates the complete rental total before booking. You pay securely in the final checkout step, then the paid request is sent to eligible verified rental partners.

The total includes the rental, selected equipment and any displayed delivery fee. There is no cash balance to hand to the delivery rider.

Vroomad does not require a financial security deposit and does not recommend surrendering your passport to a partner. UK Government travel advice also warns visitors not to leave a passport as a guarantee with motorcycle rental shops.

Photograph every visible mark, the tires, mirrors, odometer and fuel level before departure. Repeat the key photos at return and keep the booking record until the rental is closed.

This is what stands in for a deposit when something is contested: dated pictures from both ends of the rental, attached to one booking, reviewed by an operator rather than argued on a pavement.

Cancellation is free with a full refund to the original payment method until a partner confirms the booking. After confirmation, contact support first — any deduction must be communicated before a cancellation is completed, and an unfulfilled booking is refunded.
